Hi, I am excited to enter my sixth year here at Norris!  I was born in Malaysia and moved to South Sioux City, NE when I was in 8th grade.  After graduating from South Sioux, I went to UNL and obtain a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Math.  During my career at UNL, I was able to study abroad in Spain for a month (I would definitely encourage anyone to travel/study abroad).  I used to know how to write and speak Chinese fluently, I would say I lost most of the writing skills.  Currently, I still know how to speak Chinese, Cantonese fluently and proficient Spanish skill to survive if need be.  I am in the process of obtaining a Masters degree this coming year.

Job Experience

I worked as a Residence Director at UNL, supervising about 150 students in the dormitory right out of college.  Afterward, I taught 7th grade Math at South Sioux City Middle School but my husband couldn't find a tennis job so we moved back to Lincoln.  From there, I taught children of immigrants or English as a Second Language learners and subbed at LPS.  I mostly took jobs at Scott Middle School, LSE and a long term sub at LSW.  

Tennis

I started tennis when I was a Freshmen in high school, then I played one year of club tennis at UNL and met my husband who is a tennis teaching pro.  We got married on a tennis court and play tennis on a regular basis.  I help coached at South Sioux City, Lincoln Southwest before.  I love tennis because it provides a workout, it's not an easy sport like some may think and you can play for a long time.
